When the time came for me to open my call, I had so many friends and family come to my house. Everyone placed their guesses on a large map. As I walked into the family room where everyone was sitting/standing, a huge cheer went up, and everyone was cheering me on. They quickly began chanting my name. It was exhilarating! I was surrounded by so many people who loved me and supported me, and I was so wrapped up in their love and excitement. But man, I was so ready to open that call! I was hot and nervous and so so excited.

I had absolutely no idea where I would be called. I had had several dreams about my mission, and each one was in a different place. Needless to say, I was stumped. I took 4 years of Spanish in high school, and I am constantly whipping out little Spanish phrases, so I had almost everyone thinking that I would "for sure be called Spanish speaking". What a shock it was when I opened my call to read the words, "You are assigned to labor in the Alpine German-Speaking Mission". GERMAN. EUROPE. 5 COUNTRIES. heaven. Seriously, I was (and am) STOKED. I report to the England MTC on August 17th. Does it get any better than that?

Though I had no idea beforehand, as soon as I read those words a feeling of peace came over me, and pure joy was written not only on my face, but on my heart as well. I know that I was called to the mission that Heavenly Father needs me in, and that there are people over in those 5 countries that need to hear the gospel from me. I am so grateful and humbled by this call, and I could not be more excited and ready to serve.

I cannot wait to become Sister Cullimore.
